Good post. Clintwood impressed me.

Not speaking for Clintwood but thanks SuperX. It was a good game and Clintwood battled hard. Naturally I wished the score was the other way, but I had visions of Powell Valley rallying together, an us against the world mentality and beating Clintwood a lot worse. The opening kickoff could have caused us to hang our heads but thankfully it didn't.

I think PV is going to be a team that will be scary when they get all the pieces working together.

Having an open week after this year's win against Clintwood may be scary for the other teams. After last year's open date PV was what they needed to be.

That was a great post! I only wish there was many more like them.

Clintwood, you are a class act! It was a joy to watch the game tonight. Everyone of you played your hearts out and with out a doubt left it all on the field. Good luck on the rest of the season there is no doubt that you will make alot of thunder in the Region D before the season is over.

I've been thinking about how the Region D picture might shape up in the next few weeks. I think its almost a cetainty that Haysi will be making another appearance, and I wouldn't be surprised at all to see them repeat as Region D champs. Question is who will they be facing? Gate City? Powell Valley? I personally don't see Clintwood in the picture.

That was very nice of you to say this. It means a lot. I hope it has been instilled into my grandson that winning isn't everything. You got to lose with grace. I can be quilty of losing without grace and then I see him practicing what we preached and I just smile and tear up.
